Day 5 - July 2 - Rome!

They say all roads lead to Rome, and today ours did too. Talk about visual sensory overload. The Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and more -- wow! They say that if you looked at every masterpiece, just in the Vatican, for one minute, and did that 24/7, it would take three weeks to see every one. We had six hours!

Typically amazing art in the Vatican -- before you even get to the Sistine Chapel

Overlooking Rome

St. Peter's Cathedral (I took the picture and later put my picture in the scene -- similar to photo"journalism" at the New York Times.)

The memorial/mausoluem for unified Italy's first King, Victor Emanuel II

The two couples from Canada that we shared a taxi and driver with for the day.

View of Piazza Venezia from the Emanuel monument. Mussolini's house is on the left. He used to make speeches from there.

The Arch of the Constantine outside the Colosseum
